St Johnstone FC Business Club is social network for business people based on a programme of social events where business contacts can be made using the basic ingredient of fun.
It is open to owners, partners, directors or senior managers of Perthshire based businesses and anyone else who wishes to take an active part in the club. Membership is subject to approved application. Based on affiliation and an affinity with St Johnstone Football Club – the member database is available to St Johnstone Football Club’s commercial interests.
The Business Club is not based on business related functions or events which deal with business fundamentals such as tax or budget impacts or health and safety legislation, open to just anyone or just about being a football supporter.
Last year saw a major change to the setup of the St Johnstone FC Business Club with a new improved structure. Although the changes resulted in us having a slightly smaller membership, there was a larger active membership, with nearly all of the members attending at least 50% of the events organised.
Throughout 2009 the various events organised by the hard working committee generated a surplus of £10,000 which will be donated to St Johnstone FC in the coming weeks. These events included to name but a few an Away Day at Dens Park, Golf Day at Craigie Hill and our Annual Dinner which was held in the Symphony Lovat Hotel where Stuart Cosgrove, Tam Cowan and Frank McAvennie entertained over 160 guests.
Informal social evenings were also held and included question and answer sessions with the management and board of directors of St Johnstone FC and an invitation to attend the SPL Clydesdale Bank Roadshow where Richard Gordon, Craig Burley and Billy Dodds entertained our members.
As a Management Committee, we are working hard to bring together a range of events throughout 2010 and these will include an Away Day at Hibernian in February, Meet the Members in March, Golf in June, the Annual Dinner in September, our Comedy Night in November as well as Quarterly Social Evenings and Corporate Hospitality Days throughout the year.
Further to this, we have decided to hold the membership fee at £100 which includes one match Corporate Hospitality at a selection of matches available to the Business Club and the Meet the Members evening which we feel is exceptional value. We look forward to all current members renewing their subscriptions as well as welcoming many new members to help grow the Business Club and carry on the success we have had in the past.
If you wish to apply for membership of the Business Club, please complete the Membership Application Form on our website www.saintsbusinessclub and return to the address indicated with your membership fee or alternatively contact any member of the committee for further information.
